Pitozis ameliyatı, göz bebeğini kapatarak görmeyi bozabilen veya asimetrik bir görünüm oluşturabilen düşük göz kapaklarını onarmayı amaçlayan düzeltici bir işlemdir. Bu durum doğumda mevcut olabilir (doğuştan) veya yaşla birlikte veya yaralanma nedeniyle gelişebilir.
