Lazer epilasyon olarak da bilinen saç lazer tedavisi, istenmeyen tüylerden kurtulmak için kullanılan kozmetik bir işlemdir. Genel

Lazer epilasyon, kıldaki pigment (melanin) tarafından emilen konsantre bir ışık huzmesi yayarak çalışır. Bu ışık enerjisi ısıya dönüştürülerek saç folikülüne zarar verir ve gelecekteki saç büyümesini engeller. Prosedür hassastır ve çevredeki cilde zarar vermeden koyu, kaba tüyleri hedefleyebilir. Genellikle bacak, koltuk altı, üst dudak, çene, bikini çizgisi gibi bölgelere uygulanır. Tedavi en çok büyüme aşamasındaki saç kökleri üzerinde etkili olduğundan, en iyi sonuçlar için genellikle birden fazla seans gerekir. Zamanla hastalar saç büyümesinde önemli bir azalma fark edecek ve birçoğu uzun süreli pürüzsüzlük yaşayacaktır.
